The car does appear to have the Audi phone box so that may not be the reason for the misplaced jack as some have guessed.
It is supposedly the combination of the sport differential and phone box, so it only affects the S4, S5, and RS5. 2018s had the sport differential, but not the phone box, and the jack was able to fit under the floor.

So far I have no rattles because the rubber tire holds it firmly in place. My vehicle is a 2019 S5 Sportback with the phone box and sport differential. I had considered cutting the tray to make it fit, but since it fits where I put it and it does not matter if it looks bad as long as it works. As far as a previous comment about buying a bottle jack, I am cheap on some things and since I got the factory one to fit I saw no need and I also wanted to save myself the frustration of buying and returning jacks that do not fit, but as with everything on here the choice is yours to do with your vehicle as you wish.

I’ll spend some time with the spare tire out and figure this out. I like what you did New2

If it rattles, just wrap it with a microfiber towel or something.

What, this is crazy. You don’t have room in the second compartment by the rear seats? I didn’t know our cars came with jacks and took kits until I opened that compartment. I have a 2018.

Whats the phone box?

I've been driving without mine since day one but this is a much smarter solution, thanks for the tip.

In the 2018 SB there was a low tray right behind the rear seat back in the boot - is it no there anymore? The jack and tools came stored there in my car. One has to pull out the hard trunk liner to get to it - it's a bit of a pain if one has things in the boot.

It's still there, but it's smaller than in a 2018.
