Hi, can anyone tell me how much trunk space there is with the top down on a 2018 A5 Cabriolet? Will it fit 2 pieces of carry on luggage (e.g., 9 inches x 14 inches x 22 inches each)? And is there any room for more than that? Thanks for your help.

Yes! It's really quite spacious. Even with the roof box lowered it has a large area and in front of the box you can fit some taller bags. The rear seats also fold down.

Anyone know the dimensions (not volume) of the trunk space and the opening to the trunk? That would help.

I measured it for you. Under the roof box it is 10" high. The trunk is 39" wide and 41" deep at floor level. In front of the box is nearly twice the height and a lot of cases or backpacks can easily fit there upright or on their side. And of course the roof box can be up if you aren't opening the roof.
