Truth.
The first 30 days were hard enough for me! But at least I have a production date of 7/3 now .. ordered 5/15.

Truth.
I ageee completely. I placed my order for an S5 Sportback in mid March and the first two months just flew by. Now, the wait is killing me; I think I have watched every single YouTube video on the Sportback there is. Below are the dates I got from my dealer last week.

Order Created 03/14/2017
Factory Submitted 03/16/2017
Frozen to Changes 05/02/2017
Production Week 2217
Production Complete 05/29/2017
Ship Departure 06/06/2017 (ETA)
Domestic Port Arrived 06/22/2017 (ETA)
Released to Carrier 06/24/2017 (ETA)

EDIT: I actually placed my order on April 17 - they were able to switch one out of their factory order bank. The original factory order was created in mid-March.

Just found out my car is arriving in Houston port this week. Actually a setback as I thought it was in the port already just waiting release and truck shipping. Now I have another couple weeks of waiting ugggg!

For what it is worth; mine arrived at the port (Houston) on 7 June and it still hasn't made it to Denver yet. I think it will be here by Friday though as it is on a truck.

You "east-coasters" have it easy... only two weeks from Emden to Port. We here in the wild, wild west (AZ) have to content with a 25+days Emden to Port delivery.

note: for the purposes of this msg, Denver is in the East Coast :-)

Funny.. I'm in the same boat. My Fiancé thinks I'm insane - constantly checking instagram for new #S5Sportback pics, checking YouTube every day, creeping on these forums etc.

If I've correctly guessed the ship I'm on (Splendid Ace), it should arrive in Houston on 13 July. My dealer is in Houston, so hopefully not long after that I'll be handed the keys.

The next month is going to be torture.

- Ordered 30 March

- Built 10-12 May

- Arrived Port of Houston 7 June

- Arrived Denver (dealership) 22 June

- FINALLY ready for delivery 28 June


Basically it will wind up taking 3 weeks from the time the car arrived in the USA to get into my hands.
