About those puddle door lights
Are the puddle lights identical between the B8 and B9? I'm thinking of getting this 4 pc set even though it says A4 up to 2008 and A5 up to 2014:
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/4-Pcs-Car-Welcome-Door-LED-Light-Logo-HD-Laser-Projector-Ghost-Shadow-for-Audi/132910086844
This one is a set of two for almost the same price but says A5 up to 2018:
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/2x-For-AUDI-...y/123567861098
They look identical on the pics. Would there be some kind of additional electrical stuff to make the new ones not throw errors? They all say "OUR KIT INCLUDES ERROR FREE (CANBUS) LIGHTs."

I am very confident they are the same as the B8. There is a seller on here providing RED LED door reflector lights that came from the B8 generation and work perfectly with the B9 with the included power splice adapter. Audi cheaped out us with the B9 and went with just reflectors in the door.
A warning note, I bought a set of knockoffs from Amazon that have the rings and Audi type and the lense housing rattles. Time to get some new ones.
Try Amazon as well.

The puddle lights are definitely a case of "you get what you pay for." I have OEM ring lights and quattro lights and have compared them to the Chinese ones other folks bought. The Chinese ones tend to be blurry around the edges and the colors are off. They also don't have the big heat sinks. If you don't mind that, go for it. The other option is to keep an eye on the classifieds and buy OEM lights there. That's what I did and ended up paying about half price.
