While I wait for my a5 sb, I declined some of these options. I have lane keep assist on my current car and never use it, it feels weird to have the car in control. I like to be in control of the car when driving.

Default ACC slows down for no apparent reason

My 2018 S5 slows down in the same two places on the highway every day during my commute. Goes down to about 40mph then speeds up again. It's quite odd. It has nothing to do with a change in speed limit and it has nothing to do with something in front of me that the system is confusing for an obstacle. It has nothing to do with a curve or an overpass or an underpass. I don't know why it's doing it, I just know at this point that those reasons are not correct. I've had the car for six weeks, so I have plenty of time to keep experimenting with this technical oddity.

I agree. I typically drive about 8 mph over the posted limit. So when I'm doing 73 and I come to a 55mph sign, the car slows way down if I don't intervene. System should keep the over-speed setting consistent. I was hoping that's what the "with tolerance" setting would to, but that's not what it does.

I have a 2017 prem plus with ACC. I have not seen any option to obey speed limit signs. Where is that?

Agreed. I didn't realize how many school zones are around me, and the immediate drop to 25mph is quick and jarring. I suppose that it's a good thing that it keeps me from blowing through at twice the speed limit, but most of these signs are "when children are present", and I'm worried about getting rear-ended as it slams on the brakes.

You may not have all these settings, but it should be under the ACC settings in the MMI. It's only an option if you have the speed limit sign recognition.[img]

You may not have all these settings, but it should be under the ACC settings in the MMI. It's only an option if you have the speed limit sign recognition. The other option that could be responsible for OP's issue is the "Adaption to route ahead" setting.

After two months of ownership, I’ve concluded that ACC is something that Audi invented to sell more replacement brake pads.

Is there a way where you can have it behave like a normal cruise control at times (i.e. disable the adaptive part)?
