Adaptive suspension - Worth it?

You will not be disappointed, my S5 with adaptive suspension in comfort ride as smooth as my old A6. B&O is also a nice option since the base sound system is pretty bad.

OP-I agree. Adaptive suspension was at the top of my list of must haves. I think you will be very pleased. Good luck.

I have driven adaptive suspension offerings from BMW and Mercedes, the Audi adaptive suspension is by far the most comfortable, The suspension in dynamic is not as stiff as others, therefore does not handle as well in the corners as some Mercedes and BMW models. Overall, I think Audi hit a home run with the adaptive suspension's ride comfort and handling. The combination of comfort and handling is better than any adaptive suspension I have ever driven.

For those who used the B9 adaptive suspension for while by now, when you're in comfort mode, does that reduce rattles over uneven roads? Do you actually feel that Comfort/Auto/Dynamic feel like 3 separate modes instead of binary?
I already ordered the car without but I'm thinking about adding it, and I won't be able to test drive it before.

I think i gave Auto a try on the first day of ownership, and completely forgot about the option. 3 presses of the * gets me in and out of Dynamic/Comfort.

Definitely worth it. I ordered it on my A5 and I usually leave it in Comfort, and the difference between Comfort and Dynamic is significant.

I got my S5 with adaptive suspension yesterday and first impression compared to my 2010 A4 Avant S-Line is that the suspension is noticeably more compliant and comfortable in all modes. Even in dynamic I don’t get the stiffness and rattles that come with the S-Line. I think that one was particularly stiff and low, Audi doesn’t seem to offer such a low ride anymore (seems like almost an inch lower in the front) on the A5, not sure about the A4/S4.
Comfort is great for potholes, but I think if the car was in dynamic all the time it would still be OK. Definitely more of a GT feel. It’s possible the electric steering also isolates a bit, I think the 2010 A4 was one of the last ones with hydraulic.

I had a 2011 A4 with sport suspension and agree about the increased comfort of the adaptive suspension. With 19" wheels, the adaptive suspension is far more compliant on poor roads, but I also don't feel increased body roll.

To answer my own question, it definitely worth it!!! In every day driving on less than perfect road, selecting comfort definitely remove harness from the suspension (not that the suspension is harsh but that the best way I can describe the effect of Comfort). I can't wait to see the difference between Comfort and Dynamic when driving more aggressively. Thanks for all the comments!
