I havent had a problem with my cable at all, I use a samsung OEM USB-C, be careful of the knockoffs though.

Another brand I recently got a very high quality cable from is AUKEY.

That one is 6ft long, so you probably want to go shorter but it is of incredible quality.

had the intermittent issue with my former q7. s5 sb has not yet protrayed this problem. still with the right cable theres no reason to downgrade to an iphone.
