I've seen this poking out of the door frame near the bottom while vacuuming my car and also wondered what it is. I almost pulled it out thinking it was a bag handle or something that got stuck.
Same, when I first took delivery of my car I noticed it. I poked it up under the sill and have never seen it since.
No crazy drunk stories. One of my friends kept ordering double shots for this girl who rode in the passenger seat. It was 2:30am. She opened the door to throw up while my other friend got out to help her.

Someone puked in my car and got it all over the seat controls and the side sill. I had to remove some parts to do a thorough cleaning. Upon scrubbing the carpet I noticed this white string came off the carpet. I was able to stick it back on no problem. However, that got me wonder. What the heck is that? Some kind of anti-static device? It looks really filmsy.
Not sure if your car is equipped with WiFi however those look like the WiFi antennas for the car, similar antennas are found in laptops to pickup the WiFi signal. I know my car comes with the WiFi and this only seems logical. I was thinking that maybe they are the cabin air temp sensors, however those would look different.
With the exception of UAL225 everyone here is just harassing me about the puking incident rather than answering my original question...
I actually have the same question, so I'm just here waiting for an answer. I can honestly care less about someone puking in your car (no offense). The Wi-Fi antenna sounds like a real possibility.
