Any known engine issues with the RS5?
Trying to convince my wife we need an RS5 sportback. Are there any known issues? Figure variations of these things are everywhere in the VAG lineup, are there any known trouble spots?

If you get a late built 2019 Audi 2.9T, there should be no (cross our fingers) issues. Some of the early Audi 2.9T had a wastegate (Audi) software issue and should have been updated, see TSB 2052094/3 September 18, 2019 (revision 3): https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...65545-0001.pdf
The later builds have not shown any issues, that I know of, so far. The 2.9T engine have been in production for a few years on the Porsche Panamera 4S (2017-2020): Brief Analysis: The 2017 Porsche Panamera?s 2.9L Turbo V6 Engine | YouWheel - Your Car Expert The Audi design 4.0T V8 used in the C7/7.5 S6/7, RS7, D8 A8/S8, & Bentley Continental did not fair so well. The 2013 model year saw the 4.0T engine in volume production available in North America. The version 1 of the 4.0T turbo failure TSB did not arrive till February 2017 & the version to change the screen and check valve as a production solution arrived in May 2018 (five years after the 4.0T was available in North America). |

Yes, it is such a pleasure to drive, much more nimble than the S6.

I think the question is do you need a smaller car or a bigger car...
