APR Sales / Discounts?

Hey gang. It's been a while since I've been very active here, but it's great to see this place still busy, with lots of familiar handles.

My 2019 S5 has been at the body shop for the better part of the last month. A little old lady ran into it, while it was parked in a parking lot. Roughly $7500 in repairs. No issue on fault and her insurer hasn't been much of a problem. After driving a violet (no kidding) Altima for the last month, it sure felt great to get it back today!

Anyway, it also is out of warranty, as of a few days ago. So to reward myself for the wait and scratch an itch that has been there for a while, I want to install an APR ECU. They list it for $899. A couple questions:

1. Does APR offer predictable sales/discounts?
2. If I shop around, can I likely do better?
3. A close-ish dealer (Audi Hoffman Estates, if you're in the Chicago area) is listed as an APR installer. That seems like a good idea to me, but are there pluses or minuses to working with a dealer vs. an indie shop?

Many thanks in advance!

Just email them, or call them and ask them to honor their 10% discount that they run. They will give you the discount. This is a flash tune, not an actual ECU. I would recommend buying their ultralink adapter so you can tune at home. Relying on a shop can be a hassle

Thanks for the response. I would do it myself, but I have no access to a Windows laptop and don’t want to buy one.

As an aside, Audi Hoffman Estates told me they’re not taking new customers for the tune. Just in case anyone comes on this thread in the future.
