Default Which one would you take? RS5 (B8) or S5 (B9)?

The situation is the following. I wanna buy my first audi in this year but I really can't choose between those two cars. I like the new exterior but the B8 style is a little closer to my heart and it's an RS model. On the other hand the B9 interior is beautiful and the car has more high-tech stuff than the RS5. But he RS5 has a glorious V8/s-tronic and so on. Which is more fun to drive? I wanna use it as a daily driver but sometimes I wanna drive it like a sportcar. May I ask you guys about your opinion or experience which one should i buy? Thank you very much and sorry for my english, it's a little rusty

What year and how many miles for the RS5? Also, what is the price difference between the two? I assume the used RS5 will be significantly cheaper at this point.

I found many 2013-2014 RS5 with 35k-50k miles. Here in Europe they have almost the same price than the 2017-18 S5 has. But honestly I don't care about the price. I care about the car itself.

B8.5 RS5 sounds fantastic and drives like a grand tourer when in high revs. Many say that for daily driving, not that exciting. With a turbo S5, you'll get more excitement from daily driving but not quite the same when you push it to have fun.

Based on what you've said, I'd go with the RS5. Your smile will be bigger when you push it plus the sound of a NA V8 can't be substituted.

The RS5 is more fun to drive. The S5 is better as a daily driver. The RS5 is more like a sportscar.

The cars have completely different driving characteristics. A short test drive in your typical driving conditions / roads should make the decision easy for you. The extra tech in the S5 does not add to my idea of driving fun. The RS5 will cost you more to maintain, quite a lot more, and either car is a risk outside the warranty period - which the RS5 will be. I'd prefer to be driving the RS5. Good luck.

If you don't care about the price, look for a 2018 B9 RS5?
