12. 03- ABS brakes was a bit more challenging as the Bit breakout wasn’t there and I had to figure out the Binary code. But it turned out fairly simple:

13. Go to Byte 18 and in the Binary change 10011010 to 11011010:

14. Go to Byte 30 and in the Binary change 01011001 to 01011011:

For those with OBDEleven, I did some looking around and found the following...

My Car... Control Units... 03 Brakes... Long Coding... Scroll to Byte 18... to change the binary from 10011010 to 11011010 click Bit 6 on

My Car... Control Units... 03 Brakes... Long Coding... Scroll to Byte 30... to change the binary from 01011001 to 01011011 click Bit 1 on

My Car... Control Units... 09 Central Electrics... Long Coding... Here's where it changes...
There's no Byte breakout, just a bunch of sub-controls. One of them reads, "autohold_switch not_installed". I have no idea if that corresponds to Byte 15 in VCDS, but it should, right?

Agreed, which is why I went with Kufatec.

Ahhh, that makes sense.

That’s how I got rear-ended in my last car — young female driver was too busy texting, saw the traffic light turned green and forgot there were 5 cars between the intersection and her car, so even though my brake lights were still on, . . . Driving & Texting!

Very, Very Doubtful! I’m relatively sure she had much more “pressing” things happening on her cellphone.

I emailed them regarding programming using OBDEleven and received a reply within 24 hours. They say they are not familiar with it, but shouldn't be a problem assuming it has the same abilities as VCDS. I decided to take the dive and ordered it from them because of their wiring harness.

Can the dongle from Kufatec be used more than once? Just wondering if I order from 4rings, maybe I can buy the dongle from someone who installed it from Kufatec and doesn't need it anymore.

You can buy just the Kufatec coding dongle but for the price you're better off just buying their kit.

My understanding is the dongle can be used multiple times. They even using the example of getting a firmware update that might reset the values and disable the Auto Hold coding as a reason to use the dongle again.

I believe this is true on the same vehicle, not on multiple vehicles. This is mentioned in the dongle they have for Traffic Sign Recognition. That’s what allows you to turn TSR off and on. Somewhere I read it mates to the VIN.
