Hello,

I have a 2018 RS5 with B&O. I want to add a subwoofer in the trunk and I saw on other threads that people were talking about a Line Converter. Do I need a Line Converter to add an amp and sub? What does it do? Can you recommend me one (link)?

Yes you do, I just went with a simple inexpensive one for under $20 at Best Buy and works just fine for the sub. As far as what it does, simple explanation linked. In your case converts the stock sub signal to a rca input signal to the amplifier. If you just need the sub a 1 or 2 channel line converter should do the trick. The stock sub is a dual voice coil so you can grab either of the coil +/- wires or both sets with a 2 channel line converter. Same signal to both voice coils on stock sub so doesnt really matter if you use a 1 channel or two channel line converter.
