It's over, last I checked. The price is back up to, a still reasonable, $129.

Still waiting for another sale for the ODBeleven Pro device, and hoping the app will work on a 8 GB, Fire 7.

Not as beefy or pretty as the aftermarket solutions but a welded cross bracket should add some strength when compared to the two silver bars that came stock on my S5 Sportback. OEM center reinforced strut brace . Thanks Paradyne.
OEM strut bar looks like function over form, it will be under the bonnet where bling factor is unnecessary. Also, I like to think Audi knows more about the engineering of our cars than anyone else so this design likely meets the engineering needs.

Just in case you didn't know, you'll need to enable/install the google play store on your Fire so you can download and install the obdeleven app.

I followed the instructions at this link https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/g...on-fire-tablet and got it working.

The engineering needs is no cross brace at all lol.

The ecs/034 part are going to be much much more rigid, since the brace is much closer to the flex point of the strut towers. They would have put it closer to the towers if the space in the engine bay allowed for it.

Whatever brace Audi is using on their RS5 RSX is likely more than adequate for A5 ans S5s. As for ECS/034 design short of actual data with validated test method on Audi 5 body, any claims of extra rigidity is at best a SWAG (Scientific Wild *** Guess).

The most simplistic engineering knowledge can give me an accurate number for how much stiffer it is.

Or I guess you think a mechanical engineering degree is fake news? We can't tell how stiff slash strong something is from looking at it? Give me a break.

I could easily flex the original S5 one with my hands, the strut tower mounting points together or apart. It's just a hollow tube. It would stop movement of the strut tower towards or away from the central fixing point though as that would be along the length of the tube. The ECS one, solid, much stiffer in all directions.

After more driving, I am sure now that there is an improvement. So I'm happy with my purchase :-)

It's back at $93!!

I actually ordered a few days ago at 129, and when I saw the price difference reached out and they credited my the difference in price. ECS is great to work with!
