If they can't knock the MSRP down past invoice, I'm hoping they can do the difference by giving me a little more on my trade. Hoping to only have to finance 20k.
Do we think this is doable at all? Getting them down to $45k... I'll put whatever I need to down in addition to the trade to get the loan down to 20k.

I'm in the market for an A5 SB... The specific car I'm looking at is P+ with Nav and Cold Weather. MSRP: $50,300... Hoping to get them down to around 45k since I'm trading in a relatively new Cherokee and am going to be putting a sizable down payment down.

Most people are getting between 4%-6%.
If your situation if they are being "NICE" and giving your more for your trade, its just moving money around. They may be holding back on what they can discount for the A5 SB.

Invoice on your car is $46,803 and MSRP is $50.250. That means if you get the car at invoice they are giving you a 6.85% discount. To get to your $45k target, they would need to give you a 10.45% discount.

I was planning on starting at 45, but taking no less than 47... They make enough on everyone else who just throws a check at them to haggle a little with the people who do their research beforehand.
