I am looking to order my first Audi (S5 Sportback) in the next month or so and have a question. I was at the Chicago Auto Show yesterday and they had a RS7 in a MATTE Daytona Grey finish. As anyone ever ordered an Audi in a matte finish? What was the approximate cost?

Just get Daytona then have full Xpel Stealth PPF installed, which will give it a satin gray finish. Way less fuss to deal with than a true matte finish ... And when time comes to sell, you can have PPF removed and the car will have perfect Daytona Grey underneath.
Sorry to bring up old thread - they do make matte cars (not just R8) - I have a 2016 RS7 that came from the factory with the matte finish (called Daytona Gray Matte) and I love it.

THAT is an awesome paint job! Had no idea matte was an option, even through the Audi Special Paint Program. Wow....very, very cool!
