You’re telling me our cars can’t handle some potholes? That seems like Audi should be responsible for fixing it not you.
Pothole or not, if you hit something hard enough to also bend a wheel that isn't a warranty problem that's a you-and-your-local-DOT problem.

But a pothole hit is considered your fault. Don't want my rates going up over something that is fairly common in NJ.

I was pleasantly surprised. They didn't mention it and I'm not bringing it up.

He didn’t say anything about bending a wheel.

Correct, they said I had a bent wheel as well. I did have tire and wheel insurance so that $150 gets covered for me. It was a hard hit at highway speeds. And on the same drive I had missed a dozen bad potholes but I didn't see this one.

I wonder what the rule is about needing DAP calibration? Why don't I need it?

I have bent several rims and bubbles a few tires on the marvelous Long Island winter roads in my Infiniti Q70’Sport. I’m running 20” stock rims. Never needed a bearing and I’ve fell into some moon craters.

on a rainy day the crater looked like a puddle until I fell into it. 2 wheels and tires later (plus alignment) I was up and running

I hope the Audi is as tough as my Infiniti. We will find out soon enough.

I have wheel and tire insurance and it’s been a huge benefit
Im planning on ordering a Q8 year one with 22” rims.

If they do any adjustment on your alignment then DAP must be recalibrated, and they certainly wouldn't do it for free.

They haven't mentioned anything to me about that. Are you sure? Is this documented?
