Do you use your paddle shifters?

The wife's 2003 MINI had the automatic/manual option (shift stick vice paddles) as does her 2015 MINI, but we've never used the manual mode. I have been messing around with the paddle shifters on the A5 and it really does amp up the exhaust sound quite a bit. But they seem to be more of a novelty rather than something I would use 99.9% of time.

N8 - your "less than 95% of the time" should be "less than 5% of the time" to offset the 2nd choice. The first and second choice are pretty similar =)
I'm curious if people use them 30-50% of the time... roughly speaking. Your options don't allow for that =)

Can't speak for the Audi but I use them exclusively on the F-Type except for when I'm in traffic, which is about as minimal as possible...I mean really, why wouldn't you use them?

I use them about 40% to 50% of the time. It is really nice to be able to kick the transmission down a gear ahead of time before going into a sweeping turn or when the car is at a constant speed but on a slight uphill slope where the engine revs are just a little too low for my preference.

I use them about 10% of the time. The only reason I use them is to downshift the transmission on long uphills where the factory transmission programming keeps the car in a too high gear to favor fuel economy and the car begins to vibrate. I click it down from 8th to 7th and things get nicer, even if I do lose 1 or 2 mpg.
