Wait a second...here's what my owner's manual says about the distance setting:

From the 2018 A5 manual.

The image I posted is from page 113 of my 2018 A5 manual. Page 117 in my manual talks about ACC messages and Pre Sense.

So I just realized I was using the spare key for the past couple days. This morning I used my normal key and the ACC distance was defaulted to 1. Later today I will test with the spare key again.

My driver side front window won’t go auto down or up starting today.
i am going to try this hold for 10 seconds at the down position to try and reset it.

It only needs a few seconds, but do it for both the closed and open positions to set both end stops.

The window controllers seem to get confused sometimes, they will also forget the basic settings if the battery is disconnected. I believe the reset procedure is also described in the manual.

just did this on my Q7 yesterday and it worked great:

hold down window switch and roll all the way down
release and double press quickly down on window switch
hold button and roll window up completely
release and double pull switch up quickly
enjoy your auto window up/down functionality that has been restored!

Just reviving this thread to say I have the same bug as the OP and those in the Q7 thread, not sure if it started recently or if it has always been there since I rarely if ever roll my windows all the way down. The window will go down the remaining 1/4 of an inch if I wait a few seconds and then hold the button down. Any way I’ll try playing around with it some more, in any case it isn’t worth entering the purgatory/hell that is the dealership service department since it isn't even high enough to hit my arm when I rest it on the door...just like to see consistency.

Default 2018 S5 driver window does not go down all the way

Driver window goes down with about an inch or 2 left up. Auto up and down work fine. Any idea how this is fixed?

Have you performed the complete reset procedure as described in the earlier posts?
