I know big oval exhausts are a RS thing. I'm curious if the RS owners actually prefer them? I love the look of quad exhausts. I want to upgrade to the abt exhaust, but haven't been able to convince myself of the cost just yet. Feels like I paid for the performance Audi exhaust in the dynamic package, plus abt is so pricey. Wonder what others think.

I love the look of my RS 5 Sportback's dual exhausts. They are much larger then say the dual exhaust on the A5 and oval shaped whichdefinitely adds to the sportiness. I can literally fit my fist in the exhaust pipes of the RS. The quad exhaust on the ABT seems like too much for my taste. I do like the quad exhaust of the S5 but if I had to pick I would take the RS 5's exhaust pipes. Just my opinion.

I had a quad exhaust on my S4 and really loved the looks of it. I'm totally digging my RS 5 exhaust though and slightly prefer them over a quad setup. Plus the AWE tips are just slightly even larger and have a great finish on them.

Interesting to hear everyone's opinion. I was always a M guy, so quad exhausts just seemed to be built into the essence of a sports car for me.

I like the look of quad pipes better, but having two fewer dirty pipes to clean would be nice.

RS has always been large ovals. Must be a few people around not familiar with RS heritage, or disinterested by it. Pity.

You want quads, get an S instead, because the S model signature is quad exhausts. Or remove all RS badging and stick on whatever you like, it is a cosmetic treatment anyway.

Or look for other alternatives in the VAG stable if number of "pipes" sticking out the back is important, such as Ferdinand Piëch's latest purchase:

agreed. i like the look of the rs5 from the front better. but the s5 looks better from the rear lol
