yes and no - had an indy shop install it which included painting the crash bar.

As MRA5SB states — the EMD RS-Style Grille comes with the right-angled sensors pre-installed in their grille. Mine went in without a problem and I haven’t had any false alert issues yet — rain or shine.

I bought my grille from BK-Motorsport and it was a super tight fit resulting in the sensors being angled because it was pressed up against the crash bar so much.

I ended up notching/widening the existing holes on the crash bar to make the sensors fit better, then painted the crash bar black to make it look OEM.

I have a set of OE "right angle" sensors for sale, taken off my S5 when I reverted it back to stock before trading for an OE RS5 grille with entire car attached. 😝 I had these sensors in the same "V1 RS5-style grille" and they worked perfectly (fit and function). Posted a classified ad some time back, priced to sell ... Just PM me.

quick question for the rs5 grill so end up you were using the original sensor or the right angle sensor for it to fit perfectly?

The EMD grille came with the sensors that have the 90° plug on them. The original S5 sensors are still in the factory grille, in my storage.
