Sorry, didn't upload link: LFOTPP Audi A4 A5 8.3 in screen protector on Amazon- $10.91. Very easy to apply. Good protection for MMI screen. Crystal clear. Highly recommended.

I just applied the same one on my MMI screen and can agree with everything said. Total Time to:

  • RTFM
  • Verify everything was included
  • "dry fit" the protector to the screen
  • Follow the instructions
My MMI now has a tempered glass screen protector installed -- Just in case a passenger thinks it's a touchscreen.

I'm debating between a matte screen protector or tempered glass. Does the tempered glass reflect the sun too much and cause glare?

I haven’t noticed any significant glare with my tempered glass screen, but I also have tint on all windows.

Actually not sure. Heymoe provided this link earlier, and it's just a film. Perhaps the debate is film vs. glass, which is better?

That one says "wet application"... I don't like the sound of that.

Just got around to installing the tempered glass. While shining a bright light onto the screen to check for dust, I noticed a faint shadowy looking section on the right side of the screen. You can only see it in a dark place with a bright light shining onto it. It is not visible during the day or while in use. Does not affect image quality whatsoever. My OCD never noticed it during the 14 months of ownership. Any idea what this is? It's definitely not a crack...

BTW the glass seems OK. It makes the screen glossy thus causes some glare, but at least the screen is protected.

Are you sure it's not air caught under the screen protector?

That picture was taken before I put the protector on... It's also not a shadow.
