My OCD never noticed it during the 14 months of ownership. Any idea what this is? It's definitely not a crack...

BTW the glass seems OK. It makes the screen glossy thus causes some glare, but at least the screen is protected.

I put on the glass screen protector as well, you will need to center it horizontally because if you align it with the left/right edge the other side is going to end up being 2mm short. The top/bottom edges are almost exact fit.

And pardon me but wow, why are we putting a cover on a screen that is not touch? It’s going to take away an amount of clarity from it no matter what make you install. How can you scratch it? My family have never scratched a non touch Audi screen no matter where it is in the vehicle. I have 4 kids of all ages and a very busy wife.

Because **** happens...just because you have been lucky so far doesn't mean you will continue to be lucky or that everyone else would be too. Some people are OK with living with the risk, some aren't and $10 investment is a reasonable price to reduce said risk. There is no reduction in clarity.

Every time you clean it you risk scratching it.

The reflection is really bothering me. I almost couldn't see my backup camera today in the afternoon when the sun was shining directly into the windshield... I might remove it and try a matte version.

I did notice slightly increased glare depending on the angle and sunlight but nothing that has affected my driving experience...will keep an eye on it though. I assume by matte you mean the plastic protector that was linked above (with the wet application)? Or did you find another product?
