Default Fog lights for B9 Sportback?

I understand there are no more fog lights in the US?

Which models come with the fog light sensors and why doesn't the US configurator show these things that look like fog lights?

Who told you that? My 2018 has front fog lights. No rears, but my Moms 2017 A6 has both front and back fog lights.

They have fog lights as part of the headlight assembly.
The round fog light looking things in the corner lower grills are cars equipped with adaptive cruise control. (I believe as I don't have them)

Surprisingly the built in fog lamps work really really well. I'm very impressed.

Only way to add the rear fog light is with European taillights and the proper switch. It is really odd we did not get this at all in North America and now 2018+ A4/S4 models are also coming without the rear fog while 2017 models did.

Taillight Package A5, S5, RS5 LED

Cheers,

Cheers,
It is very weird. I also don't like the fact the rear fog is on one side. My Mothers A6 has rear fog lights in both rear taillights.

most European cars have one rear fog light to differentiate it from the brake lights being lit up.

Rear fog lights were always traditionally one sided, left for LHD and right for RHD (UK, Australia, etc). The thinking behind that I've been told is in thick fog if the only thing someone sees at the last minute that appears to be as bright as a brake light you will go to avoid it, meaning you would steer right off the road vs. left into oncoming traffic and vice versa for RHD regions. At some point, at least in North America, rear fog lights started to be on both the left and right, now it appears, at least for Audi, they are pulling the rear fog function entirely from our market.

It is possible to have both rear fog lights lit up by wiring the left and right side fog wiring together to the left side output at the BCM2.

Cheers,
