Google Street View and Active Lane Assist HUD??
On a 2018 S5, do we have a way to configure Google street view? Is it automatic?
Also if you have active lane assist, do you see anything in the HUD with respect for this? I just had the coding added to my S5 and I do not see anything in the HUD for this. Thanks. |

And yes, the lane assist will show up in HUD. I think you even get visual indicators for when it is active (recognized lane boundaries) and when you get close/cross those. |

You can get "Google Earth" displayed as an overlay. But the regular map street view is NOT google...

When you enable Active Lane Assist, the lane lines DO indeed show up in my HUD (2018 S5 Sportback Prestige). When a lane is detected by the system (which I find to be true 90% of the time, where I drive), the lane icon turns from grey to green, and if you try to cross a tracked-lane without using your turn signal first, the crossed lane icon turns red - this is all displayed in the HUD (in addition to the virtual cockpit).

Intersting, I will have to pay more attention to it next time - maybe I need to set it up in the MMI.

Lane assist is displayed in the HUD, along with various other driving assistance features. I wish CarPlay navigation arrows were capable of displaying in the HUD. The car is aware when navigation is enabled, I'd imagine future cars will carry this feature.
