I don’t have any rattling in my cargo area shelf.
The gas tank is on the smaller side.
The brakes are a little grabby and noisy (but no click in the pedal).
And I am not going to say anything about the throttle response .

Same with me — the braking characteristics of the Audi are hard to master for a smooth, “jerk-free” complete stop. I’m pretty much there, now, but it was a learning curve for me.

You might try bedding them which requires 3 or 4 runs to 70 mph + and back to almost a full stop with very hard braking. Once done it is important to keep driving without coming to a full stop long enough to let the brakes cool, so make sure you have plenty of room. This should smooth things out.

the mirrors are small but if adjusted right, it covers the blind spots. The lane change warning also works very well. With the combination of the rear view mirror, side mirrors and blind spot warning, I hardly ever look over my shoulders when changing lane.

Totally agree that the blind spot warning on these cars are way off. It always turns on when there is a good two car length distance. In my infiniti it only comes on when the other car is truly in my blind spot and moving over would cause an accident.

Plus 1 on the remaining gas indicator. I use the gas tank indicator.
Grabby brakes (i.e shorter pedal travel) compared to the TSX, surprised me at the beginning. Now I am used to it. Moreover, I was taught (pre anti-lock days) to brake hard without locking up at the beginning and slowly releasing and modulating the pressure as you slow down and come to a stop. On this car I have to increase pedal pressure to activate the engine auto stop.

The S5 is hard to stop smoothly, I think the high performance brakes are a bit grippy. From all the brake dust on my rims, I am guessing they are metallic pads. Add to that the stop and start propensity to shut off the engine before zero mph, the stops are sometimes choppy.
