Infiniti is tuner friendly, in fact AMS (after their long history on the R35 platform) has partnered with Infiniti on a line of bolt-ons for the Q50/60 which won'd kill the warranty. In stock form the car peaks at 2k RPM and pulls like a train throughout the entire band. While test driving it felt like my 12' TT-RS at stage 1. Not as nimble of course but 85% of my driving is not on twisty backroads. Crazy sounding to even compare it to the TT-RS but the Q50/60 is very underrated from the factory.

The interior quality & effective use of space is not even in the same realm as my S5 and it doesn't exude elegance and refinement but alas, it's not as important to me as I once thought it was.

Lastly, the 18' CPO RS with less than 3k miles is 20k less than I paid for my slightly used 18' S5.

Good luck with your new car.

Interesting choice - until today, I've never even knew what a Q50 Red Sport 400 even was!

Sounds like a strong platform... I always wondered if Infinity would get there with the Q50 and it sounds like in some sense they have. Taking a car FBO is always a fun time, enjoy!

Thanks guys, I nearly got the 60 RS. It's incredibly sexy but wanted a sedan. Infiniti's direct adaptive steering is horrible, the steering feedback on a DAS equipped car is similar to the feedback a trolling motor provides hah. If it was standard, it would have been a no-go, but thankfully it's optional.

Tune plus full race DP hits 600 ft/lb to the wheels:

I wouldn't go that far but it will be nice to be back into a platform where ECU tuning is fully sorted and the aftermarket is clamoring to support it. They just keep harvesting power from this motor.

Default S5 looks great!

Thanks for the info and post!! In your opinion, do you think the 10mm spacer is just right or would you have gone higher?

I have 10mm spacer, but on wheels that are wider. IMO you need more than 10mm on OEM wheels.

Subjective of course but yes, IMO it pushes them out just enough to give it a more aggressive look without it looking forced. Here is a photo just after I lowered it. To me, this is perfect.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the H&R VTF Coilover Suspension. I recently purchased a 2018 Audi RS5 (B9) and was planning on purchasing the H&R set along with ECS Tuning 12.5mm Wheel Spacer and Bolt Kit within the next week. Would you happen to know if the binding issue you are experiencing affects all B9 platforms? If so, I may have to hold off until H&R addresses the issue.

Congratulations on your 2018 CPO Q50 RS400 purchase! My wife drives a 2017 Q60S RS400 and we can personally attest to the overall value and performance. The untapped potential is there waiting to be unleashed. Enjoy!
