Has anyone coded a 2018 RS5?
I have had my RS5 for 6 weeks now. It is a new build so it's the model Audi call F5 and this forum is calling the B9.
I have been trying to code the stop/start system to be off when I start the car but without any success so far. I have tried a device called ODBeleven, it's a cheap device and a free app but you soon find out you have to buy credits every time you use it so it gives me the feeling it's a bit shady, and it hasn't worked so far but that might be me losing confidence in it.
Has anyone managed to code a 2018 RS5?

That's a good thing for you guys as stop start is annoying.
Thanks for the reply.

I'm confused - if you've had your RS5 for 6 weeks, and it doesn't have auto stop/start, what made you want to try to code it off?

While the start / stop can be defeated with OBD 11 it's not the easiest of mods and may or may not have some side effects. If you do some actual research on it, you will find there were numerous attempts that didn't work, and I believe the "final solution" involves (at a minimum) changing an AC parameter to fool the car that the AC is on all the time.
If you were easily confused about credits and whatnot with the ODB 11, I'm thinking this is not a change you're ready to make.

Ah, I missed that nuance. Thanks for clarifying. There were a number of articles last year (such as this) about the RS5 having a *better* stop/start system, so it seemed weird that the folks taking delivery reported that it didn't have it at all. Maybe it only made it into non-NA models.

Good information. For anyone who has an RS5 with stop/start who has also driven an S4/S5, is there any noticeable difference in start/stop behavior? Just curious if Audi went ahead with their plans to use a more advanced system.
