Has Anyone Signed Up for the “Owner in Waiting” program?
First time Audi buyer, so help me out please. Who has used the Audi “Owner In Waiting” program? I ordered my S5 Coupe about 5 weeks ago and my Audi Specialist said he signed my email up for the notifications but so far I haven’t heard anything from Audi.
I did submit my Comm Number to the Audi Customer Service rep on Audizine and he confirmed my build and gave me approximate dates for my cars completion date and a very rough delivery date to my dealer.
When should I expect to start getting “progress emails” from Audi - or are they hit or miss on this program?
Can you tell I’m anxious to get my first Audi? Thank you

I started getting the emails automatically, the dealer must have put my email address into the system. Have you checked your spam folder? Honestly I didn't realize it was part of any special program, just part of a quasi marketing email list that alerted me to various stages of the build/delivery.
I will say that the approximate dates that are shown in Audi's system - those likely provided by the Audi Customer Service Rep on Audizine - are more granular than what you can expect from the emails. The emails tell you (1) your order has been submitted, (2) your car is entering production, (3) your car is on its way to the European port and (4) I'm assuming, your car has arrived at the US port and will be on its way to the dealer soon. My service rep sent me a screen shot of his screen for my order and it had more detailed info like, ETA of car in euro part, ETA or ship departure, ETA of arrive in us port and ETA of delivery to dealer, which is more granular than the above. Hope that helps. The waiting is brutal.
