Unusual color — but not in my “playbook.”

I much prefer BreedsAs S5 blue.

The release date has always been the same, and will hold true, end of the year at the earliest for ordered cars

My first one is at port now, just arrived, second one is set to ship next week

If a car has port delays, they absolutely do hold product at the factory

Your predictions seem to be accurate more often than not so what do you say about the S5? Is my Dec 13th ETA for release to carrier doable?

depending on where the dealer is in relation to the port, I'd estimate you should see yours right around first of the year

Q's will be the first to be released, followed by A4 and its variants, and then A5 and its siblings. Once cars clear, it can be anywhere from 2 days to a week+ before the dealer gets them, since they have to be assigned to trucks, port accessories done, etc

Thanks, I'm only 1 hour from San Diego port so here's hoping.

Unfortunately, many dealers haven't had a clue what this "same" secret release date has been and have been providing all sorts of random dates. Are you positing that the release has not been held up by EPA certification and that Audi intentionally tanked its Q4 sales numbers?

I'm in the same boat as you are but I feel even worse for those who already have their cars at port sitting there for months...

tanked its Q4 #'s because RS5 sportbacks aren't delivered yet? There are so few cars, it won't have any measurable impact on Q4 results. Less than 400.

The dealer is the one who is tasked with setting the expectation - I know I lost "orders" because people didn't like the ETA I gave them while they were shopping and looking to order their 2019. Oh well. Those of my clients who did order haven't had to hit me with a bevy of calls and emails because things are "late", because things are right where I would told them they would be from the outset.
