Planning to go from 255/35-19 to 255/30-20. The load rating drops from 96 to 92. Given my car is 3750lbs with 55% weight over the front, I figure that means I'm going from 66% of my front tires' max load rating up to 74% (3750*.55/2/1389).
I looked at some other OEM load rating ratios and the highest I could think of and find is the Civic Type R's 245/30-20's supporting 73% of the max load rating in the front. Should I really be concerned about this? Could go up to 255/35-20 which I see some people have done but I don't want to mess with the tire circumference that much and also risk rubbing.
Should I stay with 255/30-20 or go to 255/35-20?

I ran 255/30R20 on my B8 S4 where the OE tires were 255/35R19 without issue. Yes, ideally you’d want to have same load rating and had the same concern.
I’d recommend doing 265/30R20 is you have the room as 255/35R20 is outside the recommended 3% difference window you want to be within.
