iOS 12 and Bluetooth connection troubles.
I have a iPhone XS Max and the phone won't pair as an audio device to my car when my bluetooth is on. I have to constantly turn the bluetooth off and then turn it back on or completely delete the phone and pair it. Anyone else having this issue? I'm on 12.1.

I have an iPhone XS, but I only use the wired / carplay to connect to the S5. I don't have BT setup. I won't be driving the S5 till later this week, but I'll setup the BT and see how it connects then (assuming you don't have any other useful feedback by then.)

I have iPhone X and since the IOS upgrade my S5SB doesn't recognize it for CarPlay and says "compatible device not found" even though my phone does work for calls and BT music. AudiCare worked with me and I had to delete and reprogram my phone in so the system recognized it. This situation has happened twice more causing me to have to delete and reprogram again to get CarPlay to work.

Nor sure if you solved your issue or not, but I've had no issues this week with my iPhone Xs paried with the S5. 12.1 on the iPhone and 1118 MMI on the S5. I did not have a previous phone paired with the S5. FWIW.

I keep having to delete the phone and repair it for it to be recognized. It's getting really annoying.

It has seen a significant drop. That's what Android was for. I'm about to throw this XS Max out the window and just go get a Samsung S10 when it comes out. iOS 12 sped things up. Back in the day, the entire reason you owned any kind of Apple device was because it just worked. Now, it doesn't.

I just had my S5SB serviced and reported this AirPlay connection problem, and the Audi Service manager said Audi is coming out with a programming update to address this issue. Although not having this problem before the last IOS update, I suspect Apple is the source of the issue.
