iPhone X
is anyone having a problem with an iPhone X and CarPlay? I just upgraded and on two occasions today my phone woluld not connect. I had to reboot the car and phone several times to get a connection. Also would love to hear from any iPhone X users that are not having issues. Hoping this was just a fluke. |
Did you try and Hard Reset the iPhone, usually this will solve most problems.

A common issue recently is there an over voltage problem with the iphone where the phone keeps disconnecting. If you buy this voltage meter, it fixes the problem:

I have heard of problems with iPhone X / iPhone XS / iPhone XR with cables especially 3rd party cables longer than 1M. Not saying this is your problem but I would check your cable first. Also, check your security settings for connecting to a non-Apple device. Its possible that the setting involving the iPhone behavior when plugging into a non-Apple device, since you said you just updated your FW. Last question Are you running Developer beta or just end-user iOS? John |

I tried my iPhone X at the dealer with a 3rd party cable in an A5 and it would keep disconnecting if I so much as looked at the phone. Later I tried my iPhone X in an S5 with the Audi cable and it worked OK. Are you using the cable that came with the car?

I have not had any issues with my iPhone Xs Max.

Iphone x here, no issues. Make sure you have the latest iso version and check phone’s memory and make sure its not more than 90% full. |
