Lease deal on a A5

Lease deal on a A5
Guys,
What kind of deals are we getting on a A5? We are shopping around for one for my wife on lease and got hit with an initial deal of 707 monthly on a 1000 dll down payment, total car value is 46,350 with tax and fees coming in at 48,191.
We are also turning in my wifes A3 with 14000 miles after three years, the dealership says thats irrelevant that we only used 14000 of an available 36000 miles over the life of the lease.
Please advise.
JC

To me that sounds like a horrible deal.
You should be getting an S5 for 700+/mo money.

Have your tried CarMax?
Plan to start looking at A5s in a few months so I don't have nay info on leases at this time but I did want to share regarding the situation with your A3.
I believe there is a clause in the Audi Financial lease contract about selling the car to anyone other than an Audi delaer with less than 90 days left. SInce you stated it has been three years I am assuming that deadline passed and so you are at the mercy of the dealer although I would look to KBB and figure out what the car is worth versus the residual. If you have any equity try and get them to reduce your cap by that amount.
My last Q5 I took to Carmax with 6 months remaining on the lease but had only used about 14000 miles and I was able to get paid out over $7000 in equity, the amount CarMax was willing to pay - residual and remaining payments. I check this value mothly during the last year of the lease to figure out the best time to try and get into a new one.

The deal we are closing in on is 590 a month for 42 months on the A5 with no money down, we turn in the A3 with no penalties.
My thought process is that the dealship will be purchasing the A3 and putting it on the lot.
