License Plate Frame/Cover for S5 SB Prestige
Has anyone found a good low profile rear license plate frame and cover for their S5 SB Prestige? The rear camera location makes it hard to fit. I've tried the Weathertech ClearFrame and the Lebogner ones from Amazon - no dice, they are all too thick and won't fit with the rear camera.

If not, have you seen these: Slimline frame - Clear Plate Cover - |
I got mine off ebay - works fine. There are different versions on ebay with different words at the bottom that can be had, or you can get a OEM one from Audi with the same design which is slightly more expensive

Thanks for the suggestion - I like the look of the ebay one, I'm going to check that out.

Ok, got the Weathertech one to fit - I had to trim off the seal all the way around but it looks pretty good.

I was going to fiddle with the Audi mount, or the frame, but the decided to go a quicker route and got a polished aluminum cover and some really high quality anodized aluminum screw covers. When the weather is nicer and I have some time I may fiddle with the weathertech frame again. I tend to like the aluminum frames better as I've had better luck with less corrosion over time. But, that depends on the quality of the finish of course. Here are the screw covers that I got: They appear to be machine from real aluminum, very high quality. There is a brass metal "washer" that goes under the screw head, and then then the anodized cap actually screws onto that "washer". It's nicely secure as it doesn't just snap on like the cheaper plastic caps. These are a bit pricey, but the quality is the best I've seen and had. |
LOL, some states make covers illegal...ANY cover.

License plate covers are also illegal in MA, they can be un-readable under certain conditions. The Audi rear license plate mount is pretty cheap, the nut can be easily strip. My dealer replace it with a universal plate mount and I lower the rear plate a bit to install my Black Audi S sport plate frame.
