That steering wheel though...barf! Why would they not do the same as the US? And why not give the 20’s with the black carbon package?

Gotta’ agree with you on the steering wheel. That would be a dealbreaker for me.

Are you talking about the alcantara wheel? It's an extra option here, you don't have to get it.

The more I see that alcantara material, the less appealing I find it.

Yes — I will always go with a leather wrapped steering wheel.

Purely personal choice, but a non-leather wrapped steering wheel is a dealbreaker for me.

I probably wouldn't take it for the wheels, but I would take the alcantara seats over leather any day. I have alcantara seats right now that are almost 10 years old and not only survived two kids with child seats but still look pretty much new. I have yet to see any kind of leather seat that looks this good at that age, leather gets shiny and cracks with age.
I've seen videos of people washing their alcantara wheel and restoring the look, I don't know how long that works for. The wheel is kind of a different story because the oil from your hands gets trapped in it. The seats are a different story story, there's basically no maintenance and it's cooler in summer, warmer in winter, grippier and doesn't age.
Unfortunately it wasn't an option in Canada. In the US do the alcantara seats still have the massage option?

I'm curious about Audi's choice for the leather wheel on the S5 SB. I have the perforated leather wheel on my B8 A4 and it still looks quite good. They offer a non-perforated leather wheel on the S5 SB, have you had both? Is there any advantage to perforated leather? I think perforated looks better, but that's offered on the A5 S-Line here.

Quick Reply: In Love with my RS5 SB :)
