Audi just released an update that is pushing us to the MyAudi App instead of using the MMI App as seen in the Apple App screenshot below:
Both apps have been available for a few months but it looks like the MMI App is being discontinued in favor of the MyAudi App. It seems that once you “update” the MMI app it’s totally disabled. Update at your own risk though it seems to be inevitable.
After updating the Audi MMI App, opening it displays this screen:
Aside from occasionally checking vehicle status and location (which also works in the myAudi app), the only thing I used the MMI connect app for was WiFi audio streaming from my iPhone's music library. I wonder if that will work with the myAudi app now...?
I have the same question...
Frankly, I don't like the look of the MyAudi app and therefore never tested the WiFi streaming.
But when I had it installed next to the AudiConnect app, I don't recall Amazon or streaming features.

Turns out WiFi streaming is dead in the new apps. I updated both and can no longer stream over WiFi. It's fine, Bluetooth works well, but doesn't show all my album art (WiFi did).
Bluetooth is highly compressed... the quality isn't as good.
If they deprecate WiFi streaming on the Audi app, I'll have to find another UPNP iPhone app to use in it's place...
