On a route I more or less knew by heart, I eventually realized that the MMI nav had locked up. It was showing my position (static) well behind where I actually was, and it was not updating the distance to the next turn. I kept dialing up alternative routes, but that did not unfreeze things.

Finally I switched to Apple Maps/CarPlay, and then back to MMI. I had to punch in the destination again, but it started working. First it was showing my position moving rapidly (comically so) along the route I’d taken while the display was frozen, but it finally synced up with the current location.

Anyone else seen something similar? Just a glitch, or sign of trouble?

PS - How fast can I travel in Canada without attracting police attention? In the States I’m usually at the speed limit +9 mph. I tried that for a while today (+9 kph) and it felt too slow, so I went up to 120 kph.

PPS - Over about 10 hours of mostly highway driving, I’m seeing around 36 mpg. Wow! I miss the power I traded in on this one, but damn - that kind of mileage is fantastic.
