N8!

Took the new A5 SB on a 1000 mile road trip starting last Thurs and ending Sun afternoon. We drove from Monument, CO down to Albuquerque, NM (420 miles each way) and did a bit of driving in the ABQ area. Since we were there for my step-son's wedding, we took a lot of stuff with us; the entire rear hatch was full and I had my wife's dresses, bottles of wine etc and my suit in the back seat.

Even with the full load in the car and driving at 85 mph , I averaged 36.4 MPG for the trip. I had the car set on COMFORT mode for the freeway and Dynamic + Sport for cruising around town.

It is 6+ hrs each way and they were easy-breezy hours with cruise control, DAP and the Lane Assistant on. I am incredibly happy I went with the Prestige pkg and added the Driver's Asst Pkg!

The only thing we had to fiddle with was the B&O sound settings for the satellite radio station we were listening to (1st Wave). My wife used to run the sound board for a unknown 90's rock band, so I let her do the honors.. lol.

Somethings I appreciated were the location of the MMI **** in relation to the shifter. I raise up the center arm rest a 1" or so and lay my arm on that and rest the palm of my hand on top of the shifter. That makes it perfect to operate the MMI for me. And it was nice to turn on the heated seats even though we had the AC on to help keep our back and butts comfortable for the long drive (the A5's range was over 530 miles, so no need to stop for fuel on the trip down and back).

I didn't see a single A5/S5 SB on the trip and have yet to see one on the road here in the US at all.
