How long is the coating supposed to last?
arrtewwx, do you know of a good detailer who does ceramic coatings in the Dallas area?

I used Pro-tect Mobile. The owner is Thom and spent a lot of time addressing my questions and concerns via email and the in shop. I had both my PPF (SunTek), ceramic and windshield tint done with him. He just opened up a nice bigger shop in Addison. Pricing was one of the better I received in my searches and wasn’t anywhere close to $2k like the photo below.

Your car looks beautiful.
I got mine coated with Opti-Coat. It makes the car so easy to wash with the rinseless method and it looks amazing. Definitely worth the investment.
I will have it re-coated at around the 5-year mark.

So I went for a ride yesterday and after 20 miles the car reminded that I don't like it's tire pressure monitoring system. I got a low pressure alarm and I know that I had set them at 38 front and 35 rear just a week ago and after I gauged them all I figured out the guys at the shop swapped the right front with right rear when they put the wheels back on after ceramic coating. Had the cockpit shown me pressure numbers for all 4 instead of a generic alarm the error would have been easy to detect while driving and I would not have worried about it until I returned home.
