New A5 owners color and power vs s5?

I traded a '15 S5 for a '17 A4, and I'm very happy with the output of the 2.0 turbo engine. 5.7 seconds 0-60. No slouch. Plus, it feels lighter on its feet and better handling. I never thought I would go for a 4-banger, but I love it. Look at the previous Audis in my sig.

I feel the same way about the upcharge. Granted it's an S and great car and fast. But they made the 2 lines so close this time that in person it isn't as noticeable to me that it's worth the extra $.
I am a soeed guy guy and all my cars have been the upgraded models and or I tune everything. That said I also get bored and like new models. Usally it's the performance models that I justify in my mind are good for performance and DD.
My A6 is stage 1 exhaust intake vagcom grill rims brakes and awesome. My intent was to track it for fun but never have nor does it matter. A few red light races it beat some fast cars and hung with other but at the end of the day do I enjoy it as much as a DD now? No it is a little too loud the extra speed doesn't matter just kills gas mileage and the tech and stereo were just ok.
i don't want to put much more into so I bought what I really want. I have the last year of the firebird TA. 2002 ws6 ls1 with ls6 intake all black beast. It actually cruises and sounds better then the a6. And other then tire spin at launch it will beat the a6 at the 1/4 and it is stock. It's paid for and I can turn wrenches on it and my goal is to do few more bolt ones and be 12s flat maybe 11flat with nos and speed is non issue for alll the sport cars that are coming out now ;-) and I can drive to work or cruise when I want.
so for a DD I want performance still but doesn't need to be a raped ape. The a5 like others have commented on here has a lot of power more then the average Honda and still has 9/10 the love of a s series in imho.
now only thing keeping me from ordering one is the money. Otherwise hands down the betttt car.
as for seats which I love, I wouldn't buy them since they have no leather or ventilation or colors. It's odd you have to pay more in the s to downgrade to the a5 seats with less color choices or porno red only option

I agree! If I could have waited for an RS5 SB with a V8 I would have. Traded in my 16' 3.0L A6, which was/is a great car, so there was no way I was replacing it with a 4 banger.

I have an A6 3.0T, and for years said I would never buy a car that didn't have 6+ cylinders.
That changed when I test drove the A5 SB. I was really impressed with the power availability. Given that its my daily driver in the burbs and will sometimes have two kids in the back, for me the S5 juice was not worth the squeeze.
Interestingly I was between the same two color options as you - Manhattan Gray and Moonlight Blue - opted for ordering the Blue w/ Gray interior as my A6 is black and wanted more of a color this time.

Piguy same boat then
so ibhave a a6 '13 white with tan interior. Beautiful but more Buick then sport and feels more grandpa then sport.
i like to get dark color inside to get a sport feel especially with the colored led and VC. I test drove the light gray with ash gray would and it was too light. Whole car gray no contrast. Maybe if it had black dash and carpet. Not sure. Plus more dirt magnet then black.
i like the black wish there was stitching options. Want to see the aluminum and woood trim with black
Black with wood
Gray with ash gray

The gray leather is a little light I agree - but my current interior is black and definitely wanted a change. It was either going to be the gray or the beige for me.

I said I wouldn't white a white car, too much like a rental but having the Audi turned me. It is classy and the Audi style does it look good especially with black accents.
i think the square ness of the a6 looks better then white then the curves of the new a5 rear. I want the dark color to show the curves off more. My TA is all black and looks awesome especially with polished silver rims but Black on black wheels is too much for me. The gray will have some contrast against darker rims as well.
