Personally couldn't settle for anything less than a V6...drove the new Volvo S90 with the 309hp turbocharged And Supercharged 4 cylinder and wanted to like it but that motor did not put me back in my seat on acceleration so I quickly crossed that off my short list...nice car but needs at least a V6.

Yes but in a convertible. It is dark, almost black and yes it was bright outside. I am leaning towards the grays. I think the Manhattan is darker then the daytona, which is what I would like.

I would consider a light gray if it was more silvery but still darker then the VW silver. That is so flat almost looks white at times.

My mom has the new XC90 so I took it out for a few extended drives. Even though on paper it has 300HP+ it certainly doesn't feel like it. Plus I hate it how the engine delivers its power through the rev range. It feels more like it's powered by a generator rather than an engine if you know what I mean. It's just so damn "flat" all the time. In my opinion 4 cylinder engines are not enough for this weight even when assisted by a Turbo/Supercharger, it's just way too much to make up for the lack of displacement.

This. I can't even use the power my 2.0t has in the city. I am no longer a V6 guy.

Scuba blue looks kind of too bright and light on the Audi web site, but in real life it looks very good I think--darker, basically navy blue, and varies with the light. I wanted moonlight blue based on the website until I saw it at the dealer--like everybody else says, might as well be black.

Here are some Scuba Blue real world photos I have found (mainly A4's). Note I am positive all these are Scuba Blue based on the poster's statements and not any other shades:

Default A5 SB enough for me

Interestingly I was between the same two color options as you - Manhattan Gray and Moonlight Blue - opted for ordering the Blue w/ Gray interior as my A6 is black and wanted more of a color this time.
For those on the fence about A5 vs S5, or value for the $, I suggest a test drive of the S-line SB. I really was expecting not enough power, having owned an A5 B8, but was really surprised by not only the power, but the great suspension. Even with the 19s (which are also nicer than the Cavos IMHO) the suspension is great for a DD. I had so much fun on the test drive that the S5 extra power just didn't seem like that big a deal when I drove it.

After driving it for a few weeks, it still feels like the right move. It just doesn't feel like I am missing $12K worth of power or handling in the SB. The biggest test was stopping back at the dealership for something else and seeing someone picking up their S5 SB - barely a hint of jealousy, and certainly not enough to justify the price diff for me. They have really done a nice job with the SB, particularly the S Line. Enjoy the savings for your DD.

I understand the power/weight but what stand out to me for DD work its the tranny. As long as I 'feel'peppy and it gets up to speed for that lane/pass/situation quickly whether it has long legs to hit the 1/4mile at 12s or 13sec it still comes down to that for me.

I agree I want the s5 but for DD the 2.0 isnt slow 0-60 and passing with the tranny in the 5s flat range was s4 territory 2 years ago,
