I have drove the M5 before, it is probably one of the fastest car I have ever driven. It doesn't drive as big as it looks and handles well for a car that size but I would think the RS5 will be more agile.

I've driven both. The M5 feels a lot smaller than it actually it. Even though they have similar weight distributions the M5 felt more nimble to me. Maybe it's because the M5's extra weight in the front is due to the M xDrive system so it's lower down whereas the RS5's weight in the front is due to the engine being so far forward.

Brand new yes but the OP is talking about a used 2018 M5. If you can wait a year or two the off lease M5s will be a great deal. They have a 52% residual on a 36 month lease.

The M5 is significantly faster, if you want straight line performance. I prefer the looks of the RS5, inside and out. The RS5 is not that big of a car inside. The M5 is much more roomier, if you want cabin space.
