PB Tunes and warranty and are there real ET gains?

PB Tunes and warranty and are there real ET gains?
I am considering the JB1/4 tune but my audi buddies who work at audi dealers keep swearing all tunes off (pb or real) saying that audi is supposed to SVM scan all cars at service and PB wil get caught too?
I had a real tune on a CPO A6 and I flashed back and fourth even with some engine check up and audi ECO reflashes with no issues. If I had a real engine issue I guarantee it would be caught though.
That said, I think the concern now is: even with no issues and a general oil change they have to a full scan and tell you your flagged.?
I am a lease but the JB1 looks tempting for some fun. I had a ChipWekre before and although it FELT fast it didnt any more ET.
Are these PB all the same and just SOTP with no real gains?
