I'm in Texas as well and seen this cool tip a few days ago. I would take it off and do this and reapply. Will save you a headache later.

Congratulations!
IMHO, with the Black Optics Kit, the stock S5 Grille looks so much better than the 2018s without it. If my S5 Coupe had come with that grille I would not have installed the EMD RS style grille. That blacked-out, stock grille looks great.

Congratulations!

I'm really surprised about all of these S cars being delivered to new customers in the snow with the Summer only tires on the car. I know most of us here know about the dangers, but your "average" customer walking in and buying a S car off the lot probably isn't going to know anything about the dangers lurking ahead.
