Mine came back on. Dealer just drained some oil and the oil readout still reads max (not over filled). I guess we'll see if it comes back on or if there was just too much oil from the factory.

Default I had this warning this morning too!

Just came from dealer. I have put 100 miles on since my 10k mile service. They said they filled car with the prescribed amount oil of per Audi specs. They also said that the only other car that they've had this issue with was a New SQ5(same engine). Dealer was going to contact Audi and let them know that the recommended amount of oil was too much. Anyway, they removed some oil from the car and all is fine now.

I will add that its interesting that this seems to be happening in this extreme cold spell.

Add me to the list. I have 13500 miles on the car and it was last serviced at 10K. The same warning popped up about halfway through my 20 mile commute.

I think the cold may definitely be involved. My ride home was 6-8F.

When I pulled into my garage I turned the car off and back on and the warning was gone. We'll see if it comes back.

After driving all weekend, the warning light has not popped up again (even though it was still bitterly cold over the weekend). So far, it seems to be a one-off occurrence for me.

It's definitely strange. So after they drained mine, the meter in the car read down a little bit, like i would have expected. However it is now showing completely full again. no warning yet, but the line is totally solid...like it filled back up.

On a side note, a friend of mine just got a brand new SQ5, and his gave the same warning when I went for a ride with him the other day. He's only got 135 miles on it.

I'm in Cleveland, and it's been really cold - so like others have mentioned, I wonder if that could be a contributing factor?

And back on again. Draining oil didn't solve it, so maybe a bad sensor?

Could be a bad sensor. i’d take it back to be sure.
