Something must be lost in translation?

When you open the doors, water pours inside from wherever it drains along the roof.

It is raining all week and I haven't opened the trunk too much in the rain. Good to keep in mind. Yes, an auto close should be an option.

Yep. It's not the rain that is coming in, it's the puddles that are left on top of the car after the rain has passed. Opening the door seems to disturb the water enough to allow it to run downhill and there are no diversion channels that stop it from running right into the open door.

Question for those that did a ceramic treatment. Does the top of the car shed water during rain so that nothing puddles up on top after the rain is over? I'm wondering if that might solve the problem or just make it worse by allowing the puddles to run with less shaking.

Yep, I get it all the time too. I have found that if you open the trunk slowly so the water runs off the trunk lid slower then there is not as much water that jumps over the seal and into the trunk.

Funny thing is it gets me every single time it rains. For whatever reason I forget to open it slowly, and poof - I'm swearing again

I just bought an A5 and when I open the trunk lid water skips right over the rubber at the base of the rear window. I've thought about taking it off but wanted to see if anyone else has done that and did that help. Thanks.
