Possible to special order Euro or A5 seats in a S5?
I am putting together an order for a S5 Sportback Prestige and am stuck on the seats. I am tall and need an adjustable headrest, but hate the black perforated leather in the warm weather package.
The german Audi site shows the perfect seats for me as standard in the S5 (Basically the warm weather package seats but with alcantara, which I like). The U.S. standard S5 seats (with fixed headrest) are an upgrade. Another option are the seats in the S Line package from the U.S. A5 Sportback.
My dealer says my only two options are the standard S5 seats or the warm weather package, and that even Audi Exclusive (which would cost a ton) would just change the fabric on the standard, no headrest seats.
So the question is does anyone know if it is possible to get the German spec seats or the US spec A5 S Line seats in a special order S5 sportback? And if so what do I have to tell the dealer to get him to do so.
Thanks

No you can’t. Even with Audi Exclusive you’re limited to the available options.
I suppose you could always buy them afterwards and retrofit them but that’ll be really expensive.

Might be able to find someone, or maybe the dealer might have a deal o facilitate it, and swap the S Sport seats from your S5 for the standard or S-Line sport seats (not ventilated) in an A4 or A5 (I assume the front seats are the same).
Not sure what coding issues might happen. The S Sport seats have massage, but the rest do not.
Just to give you an idea on costs, the 2017 A4 sport seat headrest has an msrp of $466. Just the headrest. So some kind of swap seems best. I have to imagine someone with an A5 would like the S Sport seats.
