Rear license plate holder removal?
I need to remove my rear license plate holder to repair or replace a spinning fastener. Anyone removed it before? Pulled out the two screws holding it to to car and it’s still stuck. Either has two way tape or something else ? Anyone?

I did it, it’s just those 2 screws but it does take some pulling to get off. Keep pulling and it’ll come

It's a horrible design.
You'll have to change the whole holder. You can try the dealership and complain enough to get a free one. |

There is double sided tape back there. I did the same, strip the nut, trying to put on an Audi oem plate frame. Got one of these universal plate holder from amazon and was able to lower it about 1 mm just enough to fit the plate frame on there.

Same thing happened to me. I pulled the frame off and used some hot melt glue around the nut to secure it. Bad design.
