Removing Fender/Door Badges on S5 Sportback

Does anyone know if the S5 Door and Fender badges are applied with double sided foam tape or if these are installed with clips? If they are clips, can these be easily removed? I purchased a 2019 S5 Sportback with the BO package and I want to black out these badges by painting or wrapping as well. Any information would be appreciated!

They can be popped out, but you must be careful to not break the clips.
You could choose to get them wrapped black if you are not privy to removing them safely.
I painted mine.

Thank you for the information. This is very helpful! Maybe I will just have them wrapped for now.

Any insight to where the clips are located for maximum leverage to prevent them from breaking?

Did anyone try plasti-dipping them?

I plasti-dipped mine, though I didn't remove them. I taped/masked around them and the surrounding area of the car to avoid overspray.

It looks great and has been pretty durable over the last 1.5 years.

I was thinking that would be by far the cheapest/easiest solution. Any tips? Did you have to patiently cut away little details or something? And of course it's completely reversible.

Blue tape, a disposable paint drop cloth, an exacto knife, and a couple hours of prep work. I also used a hair drier to help speed up dry time between coats.

Once it's masked, do several (I did 5 or 6) light coats. Don't over apply each coat. The first few coats will seem light/inadequate but it will eventually get the coverage you want.

When you pull off the blue tape, be careful to not pull the plastidip off at the same time.
